Hi, I’m Katie!

Coming from a big family, I learned the value of connection early on, which I bring into my therapy practice every day. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time by the ocean, gathering with friends and family, or exploring new restaurants – I am a self-proclaimed foodie! I'm here to make your healing journey as enjoyable and fulfilling as possible.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in the treatment of Eating Disorders, Anxiety and Depression. I'm dedicated to guiding adolescents and young adults towards mental and emotional well-being. Having been a competitive athlete, I have experienced firsthand how a competitive nature can sometimes lead to unhealthy behaviors in pursuit of perfection.

I am formally trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)—used for decreasing symptoms of PTSD and work from a trauma-informed lens. Clients have described my approach as 'firm yet gentle,' fostering an environment where healing can flourish. Together, let's work towards self-acceptance, resilience, and lasting change.

My Specialties

  • Eating Disorders are defined as a persistent disturbance of eating behavior and impairment of physical and/or mental health. I have experience working with all types of Eating Disorders and individuals struggling with disordered eating patterns. My goal is to help you heal your relationship with food and your body and help you live a more fulfilling life, free from the toxicity of diet culture.

  • Anxiety is defined as persistent worry or fear about everyday situations that causes impairment in functioning. I help individuals understand their anxiety and where it stems from, in order to decrease symptoms and build an effective coping toolbox.

  • Depression is characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a loss of interest or pleasure in daily activities. This inability to engage in the world can create serious problems at school, at work or in personal relationships. I provide a safe space for you to explore underlying issues and past traumas that may be contributing to your depression. I will help you identify new approaches to getting through each day as you address distressing thoughts and frustrating behaviors that are difficult to break.

“You have been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.”
