Hi, I’m Gabi!

I’m a self-love junkie who enjoys spending time with family and friends, eating good food, and blogging about personal experiences and mental health. I am Peruvian-American; believe it or not, as a child, my first language was Spanish. After a long day, you’ll find me cuddling with my cat and journaling or binge-watching my latest favorite TV show. If you’re looking for someone to cheer you on while you navigate healing your relationship with food and your body or can help you be less anxious, I’m your gal!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) and specialize in treating children (as young as 10 years-old), adolescents and adults struggling with Eating Disorders, disordered eating, Body Dysmorphia, and other related disorders. As a bilingual therapist, I am able to conduct therapy sessions in Spanish.

While my specialty is Eating Disorders, I also help individuals better cope with anxiety, manage life transitions, and develop a healthier sense of self. In addition, I believe that in order to fully heal, we must get to the root cause. Therefore, exploring childhood trauma and interpersonal relationships is a big part of the work I do with my clients.

As someone who’s a recovered binge eater and struggled with mental health, I am extremely passionate about helping others heal from the inside out.

My Specialties

  • Eating Disorders are defined as a persistent disturbance of eating behavior and impairment of physical and/or mental health. I have experience working with all types of Eating Disorders and individuals struggling with disordered eating patterns. My goal is to help you heal your relationship with food and your body and help you live a more fulfilling life, free from the toxicity of diet culture.

  • Anxiety is defined as persistent worry or fear about everyday situations that causes impairment in functioning. I help individuals understand their anxiety and where it stems from, in order to decrease symptoms and build an effective coping toolbox.

  • We all go through different seasons in life and some transitions are tougher than others. I help individuals navigate these transitions and manage stressors that often ensue. Maintaining your mental and physical health amidst a lot of change is imperative! You don’t have to do it alone.
